With the High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) demand growing globally, FMC Technologies is expanding our portfolio of deepwater tree systems to include the industry’s first 15,000 psi Enhanced Vertical Deepwater Tree (EVDT). This evolution is presently being developed and will take deepwater exploration and production to new levels, including 350 degrees Fahrenheit wellhead temperatures and 15,000 psi wellhead shut in pressures.
Leveraging from the latest technological advancements and equipment enhancements of its predecessor, the 10K EVDT.
FMC EVDT Advantages:
- Allows for up to eleven downhole functions – typically allocated as nine hydraulic, and two electrical or fiber-optic lines
- 15,000 psi working pressure, fully rated to 10,000 ft (3,000 m) water depths
- 35 to 350 degrees Fahrenheit temperature range
- FMC’s proven Flow Module downstream of the wing valve
- BOP-on-Tree interface
- ROV installable tree cap with a metal-to-metal seal to the top of the Tree valve block
- Utilizes 5" 10K EVDT Tooling Suite

The flow module provides maximum flexibility and allows the tree to become standard regardless of application. This flow module can be configured for any application including production, injection, scale squeeze and intervention. Within each design lies the option for multiphase metering, chemical injection points, gas injection capability, MEG dosing, pressure and temperature monitoring and any combination of enhancements.
- 13-5/8-inch slimbore tubing hanger and tubing head spool, which allows installation flexibility, cost savings and a myriad of intervention options.

A BOP-on-Tree interface allows the EVDT to be run either as a traditional vertical tree system with an open water completion riser, or like a horizontal tree system with the subsea BOP and landing string.
