Well Intervention Services

During the life of a field, interventions and workovers are necessary to improve and optimize field recovery. FMC has proven technologies which meet the challenges related to increasing oil recovery from subsea wells.

Well intervention and drilling sidetrack wellbores are a means to increase the oil production from existing wells.

Well Intervention Services
Reducing the cost of maintenance and increasing recovery of hydrocarbons are the principal driving forces behind the development of the Well Intervention Services. With increased access at only one-third of the cost of a typical intervention, oil companies can better monitor and gather more information from the reservoirs worldwide.

Well maintenance can be performed using dynamically positioned vessels instead of large anchored drilling rigs at shorter time and lower cost.

Through Tubing Rotary Drilling
Through Tubing Rotary Drilling (TTRD) technology enables efficient drilling, intervention and completion of existing wells through existing subsea completion systems. The installation is based on guidewires and is run with water-based hydraulic fluid; however, the system can interface mineral-based hydraulic oil systems.
