Shell Coulomb

Shell Coulomb
U.S., Gulf of Mexico Blocks MC 657 and 613

Landmark: The Shell Coulomb is the world's deepest subsea completion.

The Coulomb field is tied into the Na Kika system and at a water depth of approximately 7600 ft (2316 m). Coulomb is anticipated be the world’s deepest subsea completion. FMC is supplying the tree systems and ancillary tie-in equipment for this Subsea Alliance project. This field is a 25-mile step-out from the Na Kika host facility and is presently slated for installation and first production in the summer of 2004.

These two trees broke the world record water depth for completions and likely still hold this record. The previous record was 7209' Marathon Oil, GOM, Camden Hills.
