Statoil Skinfaks Rimfaks

Statoil Skinfaks Rimfaks

Norway Block 33/12 (Skinfaks) and 34/10 (Rimfaks)

Landmark: Skinfaks/Rimfaks increases the flexibility for the Gullfaks field

The Statoil Skinfaks/Rimfaks contracts cover subsea systems for Statoil's joint Skinfaks/Rimfaks project in the North Sea.

Proven in 2002, Skinfaks comprises several small reservoirs. Rimfaks has been onstream since 2000 through a tie-back to Gullfaks A, and further development will improve recovery of its reserves.

Both fields lie in the Tampen area, and will be tied back to Gullfaks C via existing infrastructure.

The FMC Technologies' delivery embraces one subsea template and a satellite, as well as six XMAS Trees and two manifolds.

Production from a water depth of around 140 meters was scheduled to begin in November 2006.
