Panna Capacity Increase

CDS Separation Systems
The Panna field, in the Arabian Sea, is operated by BG with partners ONGC and Reliance. The field experienced capacity constrains and required an additional train of compression. The project which was awarded in 2005 involved adding a 3rd train of compression to the platform. To allow the extra production to be handled in the existing vessels, the existing production separators was retrofitted with CDS Inlet Cyclones,  CDS Spiraflow Cyclones and Sand Jetting Systems to allow the extra production to be handled in the existing vessel. The 1st and 2nd stage scrubbers of the 2 existing trains were retrofitted with Evenflow HE inlet devices and CDS Spiraflow Cyclones to overcome liquid carry over to the compressors. This installation has resulted in an increase in production of 50% and the elimination of major operational challenges on the platform.
