The Roto-Shell™ Cooler is an efficient, high volume cooling system. As the Roto-Shell™ rotates, lifters raise and cascade the product into the ambient airstream. The product can be cooled via two methods. The first is through air only. The second is a combination of air and continuous drenching of the exterior of the shell with water.
FMC Technologies custom designs Roto-Shells™ to meet specific processing requirements. Drums can be fabricated of mild steel, alloy steel, or nickel alloys to suit the corrosive or abrasive characteristics of your product.
Applications for the Roto-Shell™ are any bulk free flowing material that can tolerate rougher handling. Examples of applications are:
Food: Cereal Pellets, Sugar
Chemicals: Ammonium Sulfate, Sodium Sulfate
Minerals: Foundry Sand
