The Roto-Shell™ Cooler is an efficient, high-volume cooling system. As the Roto-Shell rotates, lifters raise and cascade the product into the ambient airstream. The product can be cooled via two methods: air only, or a combination of air and continuous drenching of the exterior of the shell with water.
FMC Technologies custom-designs Roto-Shells to meet specific processing requirements. Drums can be fabricated of mild steel, alloy steel, or nickel alloys to suit the corrosive or abrasive characteristics of your product.
Applications for the Roto-Shell are any bulk free-flowing material that can tolerate rougher handling. Examples of applications are:
