FMC designs and manufactures a range of fully piggable Chiksan® truck and railcar loading arms featuring proven reliability and considerable ease of maintenance. These arms can be in stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium or other materials and equipped with piggable valves that allow the operators to offload a large number of products through the same arm or for special products that need to be drained after every offloading operation.

FMC Chiksan piggable Truck and Railcar (T&RC) loading arms have a constant diameter pipe with short radius elbows. Advanced welding techniques result in a smooth interior finish to ensure smooth passage of the pig. The piping is thus left completely clean after the pigging operation.
It is possible to propel the pigs to the very end of the arms closest to the truck/railcar to eliminate any risk of cross contamination due to product residue left in the line. Depending on the type of transfer and the process used, the product can be either pigged in the direction of the vehicle or to the storage tank.
Chiksan piggable truck and railcar loading arms can be very simple manual arms or they can be fully automated depending on their size, the specific application and the toxicity of the product handled.
Available models of FMC piggable truck and railcar loading arms include:

- Model for top open dome loading/unloading systems
 - Model for top closed systems
 - Model for bottom loading/unloading
Benefits - Greatly reduced overall operating costs
