Our Culture

FMC Technologies is regarded by customers as the company to call on when they have an especially complex or difficult challenge. That is the heritage of our company, which was incorporated in the year 2000, but which also has a 100-year history as a solutions provider for our customers. The roots of our company's former parent, FMC Corporation, hark back to 1884, when an inventor and entrepreneur named John Bean, who had retired and moved from Michigan to San Jose, California, in 1883 for health reasons, developed an ingenious solution for the scale problems being encountered in his and his neighbors' fruit orchards. Dubbed the Bean Continuous Spray Pump, the invention was the foundation for a 100-plus-year history of solving customer problems at FMC Corporation. When it was first incorporated in 1928 from the merger of two San Jose food processing machinery equipment manufacturing firms, the John Bean Manufacturing Company and the Anderson-Barngrover Company, which added canning and fruit packing businesses to the spray pump product line, "FMC" was originally known as Food Machinery Corporation. FMC Technologies inherited this rich tradition of being the customers' "problem solver."

FMC Technologies has much to offer: committed colleagues, exciting technology and career opportunities in an international work environment.

At all locations, the work environment is characterized by
