In some core drilling locations, source water is a long distance from the drilling location. FMC Bean piston pumps are used to pump water from the source location to the drill site, where it can be used in the drilling or mixed with drilling mud for larger cutting removal. The self cleaning valves are the most suitable for this application due to the possibility that debris such as small twigs, leaves and rocks could get sucked into the source water line. The self cleaning valves will reduce the size of the debris and allow it to pass to the drill sight tank location.
