Through the InteServ database, FMC Technologies has provided critical asset information analysis to customers in real time via secure internet access. InteServ offers planning and tracking tools to help monitor inspection due dates, track the location of treating iron, produce treating iron certification and rejection reports, produce test charts, analyze ultrasonic test history and more.

During its four years of service, the on-demand support of the InteServ database has played a key role in increasing customer standards to better reflect the needs of today’s industry. For example, after seeing consistent data analysis through InteServ, one customer changed their inspection requirements from one to two years for offshore manifolds, saving them money in their overall maintenance costs. Other customers have used the InteServ database to increase the frequency of inspections based on high scrap rates, which allows the customer to remove worn products at inspection rather than utilizing the products in less than accepting condition.
