I started my career as an engineering trainee at FMC Technologies in Brazil after earning my degree in mechanical engineering at Universidade Federal Do Rio de Janeiro. I began working in purchasing with responsibility for expediting imported items and was promoted to a buyer after just two years. Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to work with commodity items, fabrication, machining, raw materials and a lot more. I also earned my MBA in international commerce through FMC’s educational reimbursement program. Today, I am the tactical sourcing manager in charge of direct purchasing and manage all buyer and supplier coordination for FMC in Brazil. My primary responsibility is to ensure project costs and lead times requirements and to guarantee our compliance with the strict quality and health, safety and environmental standards of FMC and our customers.
