What is a Field Service Technician?

The Field Service Technician is the technical expert responsible for the assembly, test, final installation and overall maintenance of the oil and gas production systems that FMC provides to its customers. These systems are Wellheads, Production Trees, Manifold and Tie-in systems that allow oil producers to safely exploit hydrocarbons from the reservoir to the pipelines that will transport them to the refineries.

Successful Field Service Technicians are highly competent individuals with strong mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical/electronic skills and a work ethic that requires little or no supervision to accomplish their tasks.   Field Service Technicians also posses excellent customer service and communication skills.  Constant travel to customer operation sites, onshore or offshore, is also part of the life of these professionals.
