Available for most API 5CT casing and tubing sizes, the PI seal is designed for sealing on rough or out-of-round casing. The elastomer sealing elements included in the PI seal are plastic anti-extrusion rings that overcome friction when stabbed over the casing. The wide temperature range envelope and pressure capability exceeds that of an FS-seal. Elastomers bond to the metal backbone of the seal, creating a cartridge-type configuration. The PI-seal meets requirements for -20 to 275F in a variety of on-and 0ff-shore applications, while being adaptable to remotely installed packoff applications.
