This subsea tree is ideal for drilling applications in 100-400 feet of water, with 6 or fewer wells. By using FMC’s shallow water tree in this environment, as an operator you have the potential to bring your well online up to 100 days faster and save $6M in operating costs. These bottom-line savings are a result of using a Jackup rig over a surface platform. You don’t have to wait on platform construction, which can take months.
Using surface wellhead equipment and mudline hangers, this tree completes subsea using a riser and surface BOP. It allows continuous drill and complete with temporary abandonment, with no rig mob or de-mob. Uses for this system range from exploration to development:
- As a single or dual gas/oil producer to a nearby host platform
- For gas lift through the production casing annulus
- As an injection well for waterfloods
- For multiple well field development through daisy-chain tie-ins or central production manifolds
- For recovery of storm-damaged, high-volume surface wells re-completed subsea at the mudline
