Mudline suspension is a rigorous offshore application; requiring a wellhead service company with proven technology and skilled service to make your job a success. FMC has over fifty years of offshore experience, giving you what you need – a wellhead company that knows how to perform. Take a close look at our mudline equipment; a design that proves our performance through technology. With the shallow water-drilling environment more and more active each year, equipment availability has become a limiting factor. That’s why FMC has established a global sourcing and stocking program for prompt delivery in tight situations. And once your system has been shipped offshore, you can trust our highly trained, reliable service technicians to do the job right. The first time. FMC’s great service doesn’t stop there – we follow through when our customers need it the most, providing a management team that delivers all of your needs. The lower costs associated with the system are a direct result of low exploration and production costs. For standard sizes, you can expect off-the-shelf delivery for certain applications, adding to FMC’s bottom-line mudline advantage. During drilling all landing sub-casing hangers and casing hanger connections are secured with metal to metal seals, and for completion tiebacks, two metal to metal seals are simultaneously energized, one at the top of the hanger and another at the nose of the tieback sub. Residual cement and debris is removed by flushing through wash ports in the landing sub, and through cleaning of the annulus. For maximum reliability, each casing hanger has two sets of threads: the lower threads accept the landing subs and temporary abandonment caps, and the upper threads are reserved for tieback and are completely protected by elastomer seals during drilling and temporary abandonment.
