Landmark: Water injection facilities to increase oil recovery and enhance production ratio

The subsea development plans are to replace current water injection wells located on the Ekofisk 2/4W platform. The facilities, eight off XMAS trees and two off four-slot manifolds will be capable of being expanded to additional wells to the Ekofisk South reservoir. In addition, it has the potential to increase the total number of wells to 30.

Subsea Control and monitoring of the facilities and wells will be provided through a subsea umbilical that is tied back to the Ekofisk 2/4M platform.

The Subsea Equipment Facilities provided by FMC consist of all of the equipment required to support and tie the subsea wells into the pipeline tie-in spools to the adjacent 16” NB infield supply pipeline and to monitor and control these facilities and wells and the local flow of water.
