Comments:
Gjøa is an oil and condensate (light oil) field located in blocks 35/9 and 36/7, 130 kilometers northwest of Bergen, Norway at a water depth of 360 meters. Oil will be piped via a tie-in to the Troll II pipeline and further to the StatoilHydro-operated Mongstad refinery near Bergen.
StatoilHydro is development operator for Gjøa, while Gaz de France takes over as production operator when the field commences production.
Start-up of oil and gas production is expected in 2010.
