Comments

The Albacora Leste Field was discovered in March 1986 through the drilling of the RJS-342-A well. It is located approximately 120 km (75 miles) from the coast in the Campos Basin. The field is being developed in just one phase.

A floating production unit (FPSO P-50) will be installed, with the production start-up expected for February 2005. The subsea layout consists of 31 wells (16 production and 15 injection) linked through flexible lines to the production platform P-50, where the oil will be treated and then transferred to the shuttles. These shuttles will transport the oil to the mainland.

Production will peak in 2006 at 145,000 bopd. Albacora Leste is being carried out in partnership with Repsol-YPF.
