Comments:

The SPS-contract includes significant development of new thermal insulation solutions involving both small scale thermal tests for calibration of analysis and full scale cool down tests of both tree and manifold systems. For the last injection tree the contract scope was also extended to include development of a pilot fiber optic downhole gauge system including full integration test. A significant amount of work is done in Angola. Management, fabrication and testing of the manifold systems are localized in Soyo. Service assistance, production guide bases, assembly of well jumpers and refurbishment of the existing Girassol tools are the significant activities taking place in Luanda.

First oil on Rosa was 18 June 2007. The maximum oil production rate is expected to be 140,000 to 160,000 bbl/day. Revenue from oil production is shared by partners and Sonangol through a Production Sharing Agreement. The existing Girassol FPSO processes the fluids produced from the subsea production and injection wells. Looped flowlines accommodate the production from the Rosa D and Rosa E fields.

Manifolds are on-line to the flowlines. Water injection is used to provide reservoir pressure maintenance. Injection water is transported by a single flowline for the Rosa D system and a single flowline for the Rosa E system.

Additional equipment added for delivery in 2009: two (2) production trees, two (2) injection trees and two (2) UWD-15 wellhead systems.
