Features:

• FMC’s redesigned modular Master Control Station (MCS) provides higher reliability, lower cost, software revision control, greater customer support capabilities, and faster delivery to meet the demands of the expanding subsea market.
• FMC has designed and built the MCS utilizing standardized hardware and software that offers numerous improvements and advantages over previous generations of topside MCSs.
• The MCS and HMI application hardware architectures run on a fully redundant Fault Tolerant Computer with 99.999% uptime.
• FMC's MCS design incorporates system level expandability allowing for the easy addition of new lines in the field. Plus, various hardware options are available to meet customers' immediate and future expansion needs.
• MCS development included total system interation testing and qualification testing for the new hardware and software. Reliability analyses have been completed for all components and software.
• Certifications currently being pursued include UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and CE (European Certification Compliance) conformity with other certifications to be added as required.

Manufacturability

• The MCS design supports fabrication of the unit, using local content in any location worldwide, with complete drawing packges including bill of materials, general arrangement and detailed drawings.

Upgradeability

• The new modular MCS design enhances FMC's ability to upgrade the system as technology and demands change, and all upgrades will be backwards compatible.

Maintainability and Reliability
