A Control Umbilical connects topside equipment to subsea equipment. The number and type of umbilicals vary according to field requirements and the umbilicals may carry different chemical injection lines, hydraulic supply lines and electric cables and/or fiber optic lines.

As a System Supplier, FMC Technologies integrate control umbilicals from different Sub-suppliers into the subsea production systems.

FMC Technologies optimizes the umbilical design to fit both the control system and the offshore installation. FMC experts follow up the control umbilical fabrication and assist the offshore installation.
