The Chiksan® TL swivel joint combines the spring torsion technology with world-proven Chiksan swivels for easy handling, compactness, and improved cost efficiency. The TL swivel joint, with its integrated balancing device, is ideally suited to the transfer of petroleum products through FMC's Torsion Balanced Loading Arms for bottom loading applications to API standards.
FMC's large trunnion swivel increases bearing load capacity and allows the torsion spring to be placed within the swivel without sacrificing flow rate or increasing pressure drop. All unnecessary frills are eliminated.
A worm and gear mechanism is used to adjust the torsion spring from minimum to maximum for proper balancing of the load. Infinite adjustment is possible within the spring range. All that is required to make the quick and easy adjustment is a screwdriver.
Chiksan swivels provide smooth motion while product flows through the joint.
