Chiksan® fire-resistant swivel joints are used in the style 80 (terminal) swivel joint of the FMC marine loading arm. They constitute the ideal solution for the safe transfer of petroleum products, refrigerated products or LNG at -160°C. The design has been extensively tested and proven to considerably enhance the safety of such operations where there is a fire hazard.

Fire-resistant swivel joints are designed to be used at the style 80 (teminal) swivel joint of Chiksan Marine Loading Arms and in particular with the Emergency Release System (ERS) that incorporate fire-resistant valves and control lines.
This fire-resistant swivel joint has been designed and tested to BS 6755 part 2:1987 and can resist extreme temperatures ranging from +760°C to + 980°C for a period of 30 minutes.
