FMC FoodTech is in the business of providing customers with solutions addressing food safety and food processing through technology.
FMC FoodTech provides food safety solutions in many food processing applications like cooking, frying, freezing, chilling and proofing, aseptic processing, canning, in-container sterilization and pasteurization, tomato and citrus/fresh produce processing and packaging, automatic clean-up systems, and food portioning.
Supporting Customer Development
FMC FoodTech also supports customers' product development in our product testing laboratories by being able to set up different processing models for various food products supplied by the food processors/customers. The labs also take an active part in new product and process development for our customers to determine proper equipment sizing and technology for safe processing.
FMC FoodTech uses food safety paradigms employing multiple hurdles to safeguard the food products being processed. Specialized control systems employing state of the art software and hardware, monitor and optimize individual machines up to entire lines within a food processing facility, as well as providing support for validating processes or equipment. Some equipment manuals have sections written to support and assist customers in developing their own SSOPs. FMC FoodTech can provide training in key areas such as HACCP and general food safety, use of cleaning systems, and the design of equipment for sanitation.
Monitoring and Maintaining Operations
FMC FoodTech systems such as Plant InfoPortTM, LINK and LogTec have the ability to monitor and maintain a history of plant processing operations enabling processors to confirm critical process operations. This historical information is also available for traceability in the event of a product recall.
FMC FoodTech's scientists and engineers are always available to advise customers on how to obtain the optimum benefit from FMC FoodTech food processing systems and technology.
FMC FoodTech closely monitors regulations published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the European Food Safety Authority, and other regulatory agencies.
