FMC Technologies Articulating Frac Arm is a pre-assembled piping system that extends from the Frac truck to the manifold with significantly less effort. The clutter of flowline iron on the ground being assembled\disassembled is eliminated.
The Arm does not touch the ground between the back of the pumping unit and the collection manifold. The necessary degrees of freedom are built into the design of the arm. Because the arm bridges the truck to the manifold, it remains free of mud and cannot erode from vibrating on the ground. The connecting union remains clean and easy to assemble.
FMC Articulating Frac Arm assembly has the necessary swivel joints and piping required to connect the pump discharge to the collection manifold in any configuration within a 12 foot span. Only one connection is rigged up for each pumping unit. The arm’s significant reach and balance allows one man to extend the Arm to the manifold with minimal effort in a matter of minutes. Choosing piping, carrying heavy iron over slippery and hazardous ground clutter, cleaning threads, and hammering is the old way to rig-up.
FMC Technologies Articulating Frac Arm uses advances in well service flow lines similar to that employed in marine and truck loading arms.

- The Articulating Frac Arm is safe and easy to operate. It reduces multiple hammer wing union hook-ups to only one connection.
For added safety, the Frac Arm is capable of operating at extremely high pressures exceeding 15,000 psi and absorbs vibrations produced by the high pressure well service pump.

- World proven Chiksan® swivel joints provide added swivel joint bearing load capabilities extending the life of the system with no increase in pressure drop or affecting flow rates.
- The offset design has a full range of motion -15 degrees above horizontal and 45 degrees below horizontal - and its reach capabilities allows the frac truck to be easily spotted within 12 feet of the manifold.
