Blending & Transfer was formed in March 1999 by integrating Mid-America Engineers (MAE) with Waugh Controls. MAE, established in 1963, grew to be an internationally recognized leader in the design and construction of new plant facilities and project modernizations. Waugh Controls, established in 1964, built its foundation on developing distributed process control and software solutions for blending, metering, and product inventory operations.

The joint efforts of these two forces have made Blending & Transfer a full service engineering, design, and construction management firm supplying integrated blending technology, process controls and automation. Services include feasibility studies, conceptual design of manufacturing systems, detailed design of processing plants, provision of manufacturing equipment, full-service plant construction, and commissioning.
